The Challenge

Prism Education Alliance needed a next-generation learning platform that could replace aging Blackboard installations across 45 institutions. Requirements included SCORM/xAPI compliance, real-time virtual classrooms, AI-powered assessment, and accessibility compliance across 8 languages.

The platform had to onboard 200K+ users within the first semester without disrupting ongoing courses.

Our Approach

  • Developed a modular LMS architecture allowing institutions to customize their instance
  • Integrated WebRTC-based virtual classrooms with breakout rooms and collaborative whiteboards
  • Built an AI-powered auto-grading system for essays and code submissions
  • Implemented WCAG 2.1 AA compliance with full screen reader support and keyboard navigation
  • Created a phased rollout plan with per-institution migration tooling
